Instructional Design

From the classroom to instructional design.

A path for educators moving into instructional design, led by Holly Owens. It isn't open yet.

Availability

Opening alongside First-Time Instructional Leader

Applications are anticipated to open December 1, and waitlist members hear first.

Time commitment

At least 2 hours a week

Each cohort is led by a practitioner who has done the work. You join live calls twice a month with guest speakers like district leaders and hiring managers, watch short videos you can finish on a busy day, connect with educators from other districts, and build a portfolio month by month. Support continues through your first 90 days in the new role.

Who it's for

Who this path is for.

If you've ever built a lesson you were proud of and thought, "I could do this for a living," you already can. Most of the skills companies hire for are ones you've used in your classroom for years without anyone calling them by name.

  • How to write curriculum that actually works.
  • The language hiring managers in EdTech and learning and development listen for.
